“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks,” Mr. Trump said, as the crowd began to boo. He quickly added: “Although the Second Amendment people — maybe there is, I don’t know.”

This is in no way a knock on Ashton, but what a @#$% #$^% world we live in where something like that blends in with everything else and can eventually be forgotten.

Well the psychological Warfare campaign has been effective. The True Believers are out in force with statements like there has never been another president who has had so much scrutiny, it was only one word that he made a mistake on, I watch Fox News everyday and know the truth, and things like who wouldn't want a better relationship with Russia.

And this is where the Trumpies are intentionally/unintentionally obtuse. I think it goes without saying that the vast majority of people want world peace and for everyone to get along. Where Trumpies and non-Trumpies differ is that non-Trumpies would prefer our president didn't suck off Russia's president in that pursuit.

The rest of it, of course, is also BS. Trump is solely responsible for the level of scrutiny he faces. I submit that a substantial portion of the uncertainty surrounding Trump would be sated simply by releasing his tax returns. To the point, his refusal to release his tax returns only adds to the level of scrutiny and distrust. The one word thing? If you (generally) actually believe the "misspoke" BS, I can't do anything for ya.

Obama created a "scandal" by wearing a tan suit.

I think that while we all can agree that world peace is a good thing, most of us wouldn't want to achieve that by all being under the Russian umbrella.

Some of the ugly truth is that the international security threats have essentially been created by him, either through his action, or to grab his attention. NK has never been so prolific in its launch profile until there was something to gain by a weak negotiator with a unquenchable ego. Iran was more or less in check before insanity took root with complaining about the country meeting its court ordered reparations with appropriate interest. Lets not even consider the hostilities of "our" allies. And now those hostile, aggressive Montenegrins trying to pull the US into war because NATO!

World peace is not likely achievable, but creating controversy and distress to appear a hero is a whole other thing.

And, of course, no one ever scrutinized Bill Clinton.

What a crock! We’ve never had a President more anxious to call attention to himself than Trump. Now he complains about too much attention.

Are we done with the whole "Master Negotiator" thing yet? Has there yet been a deal structured that has favored us? There have been edicts via EOs, but that is not negotiation. There have been exits from negotiated deals. There have been trade wars started that we are to believe are somehow 'on our behalf'. NK has a shiny new nuclear facility. Japan and the EU have negotiated favorable trade terms without us. Etc., and so on. What about us? We should abandon the idea that there is a master negotiator working for the citizenry.

@realDonaldTrump

Congratulations to Martha Roby of The Great State of Alabama on her big GOP Primary win for Congress. My endorsement came appropriately late, but when it came the “flood gates” opened and you had the kind of landslide victory that you deserve. Enjoy!

Patting himself on the back for a Republican beating a recent Democrat who flipped parties. That thin veil of congratulations hardly masks the 'look @ me' nature of the tweet. Narcissism 101.

Also, the video of Kavanaugh saying he would overturn Morrison v Olson is such a weird one to pick. It is almost as if the WH picked him solely for this reason.

So now Trumputin claims we’re no longer being targeted by Russia. I guess failing to defend our country against attack by a foreign adversary is not an impeachable offense.

The White House has only held three on-camera briefings in the past 30 days, according to the administration's own records on WhiteHouse.gov. Press secretary Sarah Sanders' most recent briefing was on July 2, more than two weeks ago.

So much for transparency. I guess there is really no need to have the briefings since they have a state news agency available to them for messaging purposes.

Oh snap:

@PhilHeron BREAKING! Pa. High Court rules Philly soda tax is legal, clears way for city to start spending the money they've collected so far. Upholds earlier court ruling in city's favor.
