NBC news has reported that prior to taking his position on the national security council, John Bolton served as the chairman of a nonprofit that shared inaccurate, false or misleading anti-Muslim news reports. He joined that organization in 2013 and only left that position just prior to joining the Trump administration.

It is named the Gatestone advocacy group, and it has authors from upstanding places like RT & Sputnik. It pushes back on 'fake news' by covering important topics that just happen to be mostly Islamaphobic, and utter lies.
