A post made on Facebook just moments before Monday’s pedestrian attack in Toronto detailing an “Incel Rebellion” appears to have been made by suspect Alek Minassian’s actual account, a Facebook spokesperson told The Globe and Mail.

The post praised Elliot Rodger, a man who killed six people and then himself in California in 2014 and who described himself, too, as an “incel” – someone who is involuntarily celibate. While many fake social-media accounts are often created in the aftermath of a tragedy, Facebook said that the account and post did not appear to be fake.

I doubt either party wants to reject him out right, and will do what they can to help him save face. He was put in a tough spot since it's hard to say no to a Cabinet position, and he's respected for serving at the WH since '06 over three administrations.

“I don’t want to put a man through a process like this,” Trump said when asked about Jackson’s nomination during a joint news conference with French President Emmanuel Macron. “It’s too ugly, and it’s too disgusting.”

Trump said a decision about whether to proceed would be left to Jackson.

“I said to Dr. Jackson, what do you need it for?” Trump said.
