Ninja Warrior taping was very interesting. Insane obstacle course built by the river in Port Richmond. They didn't start until after midnight because of rain and were going to tape all night (as usual for the show). Villanova band was on hand to entertain the audience - people were still lined up after 1 am to replace earlier fans who leave overnight.

The company that designs the course also does the challenges for Big Brother, Great American Race and others. Their staff is constantly scrambling up and around the obstacles to dry, clean and test them. Needless to say you have to be in damn good shape to work on that show.

It was about the freedom to speak Americn. It worked out pretty well except for our soccer thread.

Little know fact: current american english is closer to the english spoken by the british when we became free than current british english. They changed their english more than we have.

Feel free to use that if you encounter a british person complaining about american englsh.

Someone asked me a few weeks ago what job I would try to do if I could start my life over. After giving it some semi-serious thought, I decided that I would still be a biology person, but there's no way I would teach high school. Instead, I would do research on trees. They are so fucking cool.
