The original stand-alone ones were awesome. Best roast beef sandwich of any big chain.

I may have had a few double-r-bar burgers in my day. Miss the stand-alone ones.

I used to enjoy their meatloaf and mashed potatoes, but I haven't eaten at one in maybe 10 years.

I remember their "ooey gooey" Philly chicken cheesesteak that didn't taste like a chicken cheesesteak but tasted delicious

The Gino Giant. They attempted a comeback a few years ago. I went to the "grand re-opening" in KoP. Sandwich wasn't quite as good as I remembered it.

there is/was a bar on the east side of allentown across from the state hospital that made similar cheesesteaks... same result.

I remember it for burgers but I was really young when the one in Allentown closed 40some years ago.

Naw, it wasn't fake KFC. Gino's held the franchise rights to KFC in the Mid-Atlantic states. Maybe they combined some of the restaurants. Gino's also operated Rustler Steakhouses, which were plenty good enough for me as a kid, especially since we probably would have had pot roast or liver and onions at home.

There was one down on Rte 70 and Old Marlton Pike in Cherry Hill. I much preferred the Gino Giant to the Big Mac (and apparently the Giant came first). It did pretty well until it was sold to the Marriott Corp. by original owner, and former Baltimore Colt, Gino Marchetti. Marriott folded the locations into their Roy Rogers restaurants

Can't tell you how disappointed I was when I clicked on the story about Pennsylvania arming teachers with tiny bats and finding they meant wooden sticks. :(

After working at KFC in high school I know I should never eat KFC but occasionally crave it.

President of this startup sent a connection request on LinkedIn that I accepted. Then a recruiter reached out to me on his behalf to talk about a job. I said I'd be interested in learning more. Recruiter then sends an email to me and the guy at the company as an intro. I respond saying nice to meet you yadda yadda let's make time to talk. 2 days later still no response. What the fuck?

Vastly underestimated how long it would take to power wash the side of the house to get all the built up pollen off.

Per Britney Spears:

"I feel like our society has always put such an emphasis on what's normal and to be different is unusual or seen as strange."

Wise words. I myself must admit I myself often view the different as unusual, or even strange.

Yes. I’m motivated to go for a jog at halftime just to better enjoy the beer in the fridge.
