Skype keeps stealing focus. Can't work uninterrupted for more than a few minutes. It's infuriating.

Are there any chains that expanded faster than Quiznos and Krispy Kreme then subsequently vanished seemingly faster than they appeared?

Not sure, but Quizno’s was a new kind of awful. Much worse than Subway.

Can't remember ever eating at a Quizno's, didn't they popularize the "baked" sub thing, at least in commercials.

let's have more bread and less meat than subway and toast it! great concept, don't know why it never really caught on.

there is a regional chain out west that has exploded in the phoenix market, cafe rio. never been in one, never seen more than 3 customers in one either. appears to have the same concept of qdoba, probably will suffer a similar fate too.

Totally forgot about this place. Looks like there are still a few around the area, maybe one up near Trenton from a brief look at their map on site. But man they wiped away anything from the Delaware Valley pretty quickly.

Yeah, Boston Market was pretty crappy too.

I used to enjoy their meatloaf and mashed potatoes, but I haven't eaten at one in maybe 10 years.

is Roy Rogers still any good? They made chicken that was nostalgic for life. Used to always eat there on the turnpike on the way back from JFK airport when i was a lad

I hadn't noticed Krispy Kreme closing locations, but maybe they've simply retrenched to their home base.

The problem I think is that donuts are donuts. They're all pretty delicious, and the only thing you can really do to stand out is to be inventive with your flavors, which wasn't really what Krispy Kreme did.

Also, Krispy Kreme are only worth eating when they have that hot donut sign lit. Otherwise, meh.
