Is it really a credible line that evidence of wrong doing, because it "comes from" an opponent, is poison? If it is not credible, and meant as an attack/disruption, then yes, but that would also carry its own penalty for the purveyor of fraudulently information. that the "Steele" document was funded by someone, but was independently supplied to the US as a concern seems completely different.

I have heard this line repeated, like a chant, by Cor Lew, various House GOP members (part of the core of their messaging in the "results"), and paid commentators. Its disingenuous at best, especially with the head of the party demanding repeatedly, without any proof at all that Hillary and Obama need to answer for crimes. That is seriously a significantly worse abuse then an investigation that will need to be objective, and stand scrutiny.

There is a part 2 to this story. Pruitt took a trip to Morocco last year, promoting the idea of importing liquified natural gas from the US. The only active Liquid Natural Gas export plant in the United States at the time is owned by Cheniere Energy, which is an employer for the condo owner.

I am not sure which is the right answer: Unethical, corrupt, or illegal (last one might be a stretch), but this is well past poor choice, and it is impossible to believe that he was just lucky getting such a deal.

Seems his daughter liver there too. Who knows what her arrangement was, and the article is less then helpful in deciphering it. Maybe she was a freeloader squatting in an empty room, maybe she had a run of the place including the lobbyists living quarters, maybe the owners had no idea who this young lady in the kitchen was (but they seem to indicate that they had no agreement with her). Who knows. Nothing to see there, right?

We’ve moved on to the reporting phase where there’s not much more to say. Although there’s always a Nugget or two. Today’s jem is that Pruitt took a nap and his security detail panicked, called 911 saying that he was unresponsive, and smashed down the door of the condo, which the EPA then had to pay for.

I’m actually surprised that there is not questioning about this security detail that he has. Currently it’s at least four people around the clock. That’s like 20 people for the week. In what world is the EPA administrator A top 10 enemy of the public requiring around the clock protection to such a degree.
