I think a Doctor enters the navy as an 0-3 (leuitenant, which is a captain in the other dod branches, but a navy cpt gets his own boat). An 0-7, rear admiral, is the first flag rank. Friends tell me that those damn doctors get promotions just for staying (ie, docs are not often remotely near danger, but why would they be, an few generals/admirals are).

I am just wondering if he has the type of experience he needs, or is being set up to fail.

Probably the most inept too. Doctor Jackson may not have a hard time being confirmed (since he's like by both parties, and any meaningful push back would have to come from the Republicans), but he's not qualified for this position. It's like how Trump wanted his personal pilot to head the FAA. He just wants people he can get a long with in positions of power.

Who knows though, IIRC Sec. Shulkin has done some good work suicide prevention and veterans, so maybe Doctor Jackson can find a similar niche success without the spending scandals that plagued Shulkin under Trump.

F&M's March pollhas some goodies in it.

Wolf is ticking up in approval, same for Casey.

69% of people 'don't know' about Lou Barletta. Casey v Barletta is going to be a romp.


Trump is losing support in the state. His strong unfavorable is 49% and somewhat unfavorable is 11%. This is going to really hurt the 2018 elections. 7% congressional edge for Ds over Rs right now with a quarter undecided.

60% of people believe the 2010 congressional map was unfairly created with a quarter not knowing. Only 16% think it was fair. People don't like gerrymandering, regardless of party.

they then did a lot of polling on natural gas. the state is really changing; it's getting more of a 50/50 for/against even fracking at all

52% of people strongly favor more gun regulations, 20% favor.

god would I love to see the breakdowns between region

that's total employees, full time and part time, including WholeFoods cashiers and every other subsidiary. most aren't paid well and the terrible working conditions in the warehouses are well documented
