point out to them that making paper, printing stuff on it, and getting it to your mailbox requires energy.

my aunt wants me to talk to my cousin, he's 20 and is burning out with some sketchy company. Right now he's a product of the company he keeps. What can I say that I wouldn't have want said to me at that age? I feel like you just learn from these life experiences and grow from them, and when you're ready, you seek change. Either that, or I smoke em all under the table and make them do pushups until they are a puddled mess. The answer is to get the blood pumping to his brain right? (until he passes out/and wakes up enlightened)

he's 20, its the perfect time to start to find yourself. the only advice i'd say is that he take classes either for a trade or at a local CC on the side. the odds aren't in his favor if he's 20 and stuck at a dead end job with no way to move on if he does end up truly hating his current job. Time flies and before he knows it he'll be 25 with no education or skill to fall back on and in a job market rife with educated kids just finishing grad school who have inherently shown that they can buckle down and get shit down

edit: and mushrooms. have him eat mushrooms.

so you may be on the right track

yea, this is the advice my aunt and I shared with one another. Taking a class would help him open up his circle and get involved with people from different walks of life, and expand from there. The thing is, you can't force this on anyone by telling them or shaking them until the cobwebs clear. He works in the family restaurant biz, but that's not his future, and lives a comfortable angst filled 20 y/o life. He's stuck in easy-ville, and that's a hard loop to spin out of. I share my vibes with him, which is where i see a different side of him, but at the end of the day he's back in his environment and that starry-eyed potentiality fades from his view. Life is all about people just showing people the way, and then it's gotta come from within to walk that. We can't hold his hand, but he needs an experience that'll wake him up

totaly agree. i was in a similiar spot. working 40 hours at pizza hut then 70 hours a week at another pizza shop. job was easy, meals were free, everyone was awesome to be around and we were having a blast. but that entire time i was taking a class a semester(or even just 1 a year) at the local CC for engineering. one day shit just clicked(i think i ate mushrooms) and realized that i didn't want to work like this for the rest of my life and i ended up powering through school and landing a really good job.

life goals click at different times for different people. we're all still maturing well into our 30's and forcing big decisions on a 18-22 year old isn't fair. but i do think getting some long term education is clutch. you don't know what you want until you learn that an opportunity exists that you didn't think did.

the messaging is hard and its not a one and done conversation. its something that needs to happen over a period of time a little at a time.

I just want to know why everytime I'm done with the paper towel dispenser that is set on to a loaded roller there is always part of the next towel left to grab, yet when I have to use it, I have to find the little wheel somewhere on the side to get the damn thing started?

Btw... Fan of the Dyson dryer. I know if one of their portable fans coat like 800 bucks, can't imagine what these hand dryers cost. Shit, if they could sell one big enough for your entire body after showering for less than 50k, I may forgo my next automobile.

This thing? Still feels like it takes longer than it should to simply dry one's hands. Loud as shit too.

Yeah I hate those things. (Preemptive /PiP block) The gap where you put your hands is way too narrow and your hands are hitting the sides where everyone else has touched which is gross. Plus it takes forever to dry. They suck.

According to handdryer.com one of those Dyson airblades will set you back a cool $1349 whereas you can score an Xlerator for a mere $400

Decided to walk down the street the 1/4 mile to the gas station to pick up some soda since I've barely gotten up off the couch today and needed to get some steps in. Probably a bad idea to do that at night as I almost got hit by a car twice.

Probably shouldn’t have worn your Johnny cash outfit.

I was, in fact, wearing a black shirt, which obviously was not a smart choice. But I was wearing shorts and my legs are quite pale.

I only have one bathroom in the house, so I've been pissing in my utility sink on a regular basis. Feels good.
