I'm right with you. My family came to stay with me this weekend (I'm in an apartment about 1 hour away during the week). The 18 month old is sleeping in the pack and play, which apparently isn't as comfortable as her crib because she was up at 6am. My wife had a PD today, so I've been awake since.

How much time should one take off for a vasectomy?

How much time might one actually need off for a vasectomy?

Would it be advisable for one to be on a plane for a couple of hours the day after a vasectomy?

I don't totally remember, and I had mine in the summer so it wasn't an issue for me, but I seem to recall it taking 2 or 3 days to get back into the swing of things. I'd probably discourage getting on a plane the day after, especially if you've had general anesthesia.

I had mine on a Friday morning. My wife took the kids to her parents for the weekend, was back on Sunday and I was back at work Monday. It was really no big deal, it’s achy at times the following week, but didn’t need anything stronger than ibuprofen the first day or two after that was totally fine.

The first few months afterwards it would hurt whenever I uh... used it, which apparently is pretty common.

Thought you were having a stroke initially, but now this makes sense. There’s no reason for general anesthesia at all, if you are worried about it, tell your urologist that you are really nervous about it and you’ll get an rx for a couple pills to chill you out. That’s what I did, then pocketed them for a rainy day. Honestly the worst part is smelling your burning vas deferens
