I would assume our district is mostly fine since it's all Bucks County and some of Montgomery. Also, we will be getting rid of Fitzpatrick in 2018 I hope.

Next Trump book coming. Fox News' Howard Kurtz, a frequent defender of DJT, has a book called “Media Madness: Donald Trump, the Press, and the War Over the Truth”. Apparently it is none too flattering, and he breaks his own criticisms of anonymous sources to dig dirt. some of what is known is "repeated instances of Trump being perceived as acting not in the interest of the country but in the interest of defying those around him and trying to prove that he's smarter — or that he can get away with things they say he can't." Essentially, the worst impulses of a teenager is his motivator.

it either validates 'Fire and Fury', or adds another layer of scum on the surface.

The left is not happy with the Dems today. I wouldn't put it past the Dems to totally kill any momentum of a wave coming this November because they always have to be the adult in the room when their opponents are setting shit on fire.

Sigh

They used the PA constitution to rule, not the us Constitution so I believe this is final?

So Trump and Sessions were apparently pressuring Wray to fire McCabe and Wray threatened to resign over it.

The GOP need to find their spine.

Look at it this way:

--The thesis of the Democrats/Progressives is that Government can work well and make people's lives better.

--The thesis of the Republicans/Conservatives is that Government interferes with our lives and freedom.

Which thesis is proven long-term by government dysfunction? For the GOP, breaking government is the feature, not the bug. They may lose short term, but they actually win long-term by causing chaos inside the Beltway. It's one of the main reasons that they've controlled both Houses for the majority of the time since Gingrich revolution (18 of 22 years for the House, 12/22 years for Senate).

Government shutdowns may score polling points or even win an election, but they don't benefit the Democrats long-term. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves.

This scenario is certainly not outside the realm of possibilities but if those on the left choose to cut off their nose to spite their face (AGAIN) there isn't much to be done about it.

ramping up the fight in Afghanistan

I bet this will finish 'em off

the big problem was some troops couldn't see football, not that they are fighting a stupid, useless war.

you need to give people a reason to vote for you and not just against your opponent; throwing the most vulnerable people in our society under the bus probably isn't the best way to engender support from the base of the Democratic Party.

I don't hate the deal as long as Democratic Senators are willing to shut the government down again if Paul Ryan doesn't move the vote to the floor, or if the bill that Mitch offers is purposefully bad. This is the last strike though, DACA is ending.

A Michigan man was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot and kill CNN employees, WGCL-TV reported Monday.

The FBI launched an investigation after the man, who is unnamed in the CBS report, reportedly called CNN 22 times about a week ago.

"Fake news. I'm coming to gun you all down," the man told a CNN operator, according to court documents obtained by WGCL-TV.

He allegedly later called CNN again, saying, "I'm smarter than you. More powerful than you. I have more guns than you. More manpower. Your cast is about to get gunned down in a matter of hours."

"I am coming to Georgia right now to go to the CNN headquarters to f---ing gun every single last one of you," he said

We go to the President for his reaction:

Even Crazy Jim Acosta of Fake News CNN agrees: “Trump World and WH sources dancing in end zone: Trump wins again...Schumer and Dems caved...gambled and lost.” Thank you for your honesty Jim!

Exactly, the real deadline is March 5, not January 19 or February 8. Everyone in DC knows this, which is why DACA will not be addressed for another five weeks. Everything that happens between now and then is political theatre.

After the long term spending, yes, which is why the Democrats need to shut the government down again if he breaks his word or if Paul Ryan doesn't hold the vote in the House.
