This tax bill really is bad. Like, seriously bad.
I would bet as currently written it will either create a recession or at best do nothing to our economy. It has ZERO upside over the 10 year period. Zero.
As someone who actually hires people, let me say this. HR has not given me updated salary ranges should this pass. Do you know why? Because my Fortune 100 company doesn't pass thru tax savings to employees. Not even indirectly (we also don't pay anywhere close to 35% anyway).
Paul Ryan's spiel about this leading to a 4K increase in salaries over like 5-10 years is laughable. That dude is a fucking liar.

The corporate rate thing is hilarious. I worked for a fortune 250 medical company that paid an effective like, 15%. That 35 rate sure is killing America!

Almost no company with any level of foreign operations pays anything close to a 35% ETR. My old company paid 0 Tax for the entire 6 year period it was an independent company.

Savior is right, there is not a company on the planet that passes tax savings on to employees. Look at all those massive cash reserves, then consider how wages have been frozen for years.

You don't need loopholes to reduce your ETR. There are perfectly justified, non-judgmental deductions and strategies domestic companies utilize.
