He's really gonna try to run for re-election, huh

New Jersey and Bob Menendez. Perfect together.

So the incoming gov, new Assembly speaker, Sweeney, George/Don Norcross have all endorsed Menendez for re-election already this afternoon.

Wonder if anyone in the House delegation is gonna take a swing at him. He'll have $$ and most every line, but god he should be vulnerable.

It would be great to see with that lineup behind him, but I'm not holding my breath.

Ken Starr spent $70 million on a consensual blowjob. Senate voted to keep POTUS WJC. But not enough for you @SenGillibrand? Over 20 yrs you took the Clintons’ endorsements, money, and seat. Hypocrite.

Interesting strategy for 2020 primaries. Best of luck.

He's not the biggest dbag in politics because people like Bannon have come along, but he has got to be among the more insufferable quasi-public figures in the American political system.

He's always turned to 11. Just a weird dude, totally committed to the Clintons. Maybe should be actually committed.

Leaked email correspondence he's had with journos is out of this world nuts.

And your thoughts on the 8 current accusers of Roy Moore sir? Just yesterday he gave three religious named speeches about his accusers, and for years before that represented some brand of morality.

On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

He was all coked up after his asia trip, sniffing and rambling. If he wasn't born into wealth, he'd be dead by now from an OD as a homeless person. Or in jail. due to some cheap and poorly executed crime.

So what are the chances that Hope Hicks turns evidence on the donald? She is young and has her whole life ahead of her. Would she go down to protect him, essentially throwing her whole life away?? She's going to be testifying soon, if she hasn't already. She's with him almost all the time. She must know stuff that could incriminate him.

Also, nobody talks about it much, but I have to wonder how much fear people have of Putin. People end up dead that cross him. Trump said the other day that people would end up getting hurt if the media keeps digging. What did he mean by that? Was it a threat/warning to people in his inner circle to keep quiet?

File Under: The Best People

A Homeland Security official in the Trump administration appointed to cultivate unity among community organizations has quit following publication of earlier comments in which he blamed slums on the “laziness, drug use and sexual promiscuity” of African-Americans.

CNN uncovered the statements the Rev. Jamie Johnson expressed while he was host of a radio program in Iowa and as a guest on other conservative shows. He made the comments about blacks and slums in 2008 on “The Right Balance” on Accent Radio Network, CNN reported.

Johnson also said during his radio appearances from 2008 to 2016 that Islam’s only contribution to the world was oil and “dead bodies,” and that terrorism represented the “true meaning” of Islam.

Rev. Jamie Johnson was qualified for what? His function was to Johnson was be the head of the Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships at DHS. Gated communities with white people behnd the fences apparently.

the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll found that Trump’s base is sticking with him – 79 percent of Republicans and 86 percent of Trump voters approve of the job he is doing.

Harvard poll has the usual low approval rating compared to its previous results, which have always trended a bit higher then other polls, but the real question to me is how real republicans continue to support his agenda of doing almost nothing legislatively. Perhaps it is stocking all those empty judgeships that enemy of the state the Kentucky turtleman would not entertain having candidate for under Obama.

the few Clintonites left are really reeling from this:
“Things have changed today, and I think under those circumstances there should be a very different reaction,” she said, apparently nodding to the watershed conversation happening nationally in the U.S. on powerful men and sexual abuse.

“And I think in light of this conversation, we should have a very different conversation about President Trump, and a very different conversation about allegations against him.”

Gillibrand’s spokesman later clarified to the Times that the senator was trying to express that if the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal had happened now, Bill Clinton would’ve felt more pressure to resign.

I mean she's 100% right. They're turning it into a 'backstab' or hypocritical thing. One of her major issues is sexual assault in the military. the power dynamic of a former president in your party and presidential candidate living in your state certainly made it tough for her to speak on it for years; times have changed. The Clinton-wing of the party of all people should know that politics is politics. They triangulated themselves into the presidency once.

another one of them (Armando from Daily Kos) blocked me when I noted that people are allowed to evolve and change their opinions and learn.

for a segment of the party, housh was right. I don't think most here are part of that, though.
