Thank you. Would have beeN much nicer if my wife had won her supervisor race and Roy Halladay hadn’t...

Well, that’s enough of that.

These small, local elections are so wild to look at. The mayor of Parkesburg in Chester County was won 276-274 by the Democratic candidate. Two votes!

Those VA results last night were very, very fun. A split House of Delegates (assuming no races flip on recount) will be a total circus.

There's a joint legislative committee meeting on Monday that has nearly all of the GOP power brokers on it, including the guy who was supposed to be Speaker in January. It'll be more interesting than I expected, especially since one of the members just lost his job.

Christie said he voted for @KimGuadagnoNJ, and that he doesn't think 2017 is a referendum on his tenure

Well, the VA recounts with the races too close to call will be very interesting. There was approximately no way for the Dems to wrestle away the GOP control of the state senate coming in... but now it is two seats?!? I paid exactly zero attention to any race that was not in my back yard.

I honestly heard none of the Danica Reom story before I woke and heard that VA has the first transgender representative in any state. It has flown below the radar in local news, unless you were looking I assume. They mentioned Roem's platform of fixing route 28 traffic so I knew she was not too far from me, and immediately wrote off Prince Williams/Mo'nasty, but there it was. If people are freaking out that good old reliable (not so much lately) red Loudoun and all its rich people (we have the richest county in the US many years running... those vintner's and their uber rich friends rule us from the west) went insanely for Northam (bigger then Obama or Hillary), then Manassas going trans is incomprehensible. Manassas going blue should be setting off air raid sirens, especially since it is the operating base of horrible human, and Trump guiding light Corey Stewart.

So, back to the original point, those too close to call races just might flip the General Assembly. It might happen.

Well, it a new thing. Trump things every republican who lost was not enough Trump, so the equality is that there is no association to the idea that the Trump name is political poison based on him and his "policies".

We have a Historic Democratic sweep of county row houses! The FIRST Democrats ever elected to county row office in Chester County PA since its founding in 1799. And all four are WOMEN

In a major upset, Democrats swept races for two Delaware County Council seats on Tuesday and captured all three row offices. It was the first time in history that the party won competitive countywide races.

The last time a Democrat served on county council was in 1980. No Democrat has served on the body since the Home Rule Charter eliminated the requirement for minority party representation

PA statewides are a bit disappointing and scare me when it comes to the supreme court being used as a pawn in 2020.

I sure hope the trend of Dem voters not coming out for non-presidential elections has turned, good sign yesterday

Democrats took 3 of 4 spots on superior court, 1 of 2 on commonwealth (with the one loser being 'not recommended' which killed her), and lost the supreme court race by 5 points. It wasn't bad, just discouraging for the top of the ticket. it looks like the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area was the difference for the judge races...the Dems ran fine down ticket but Woodruff lost there by more than I expected...perhaps her living near Williamsport made the difference there?

Ballot initiative passing was not surprising also but annoying. And I learned that Tom Wolf is in favor of eliminating property taxes so that's disappointing.

But everything else was good, nationwide! 2018 is going to be a bloodbath.
