my wife put up 6 signs for various judges in our backyard, which is along a major road in our area. it looked hilarious

maidencreek elected a lady who changed her name and recently moved to the area who ran on 'reform'. there's nothing to reform because nothing happens in the town and she was run out of office in a town in lancaster county because she was grifting and figuring out ways to make money off the taxpayers there

awful woman who was supervisor in lancaster county pretty much got run out of town because she was so awful, moved to maidencreek, changed her last name, started showing up to meetings and acting very rude, and was elected to the board tonight over someone who did a great job the last six years.

In the 8th district, the seat I grew up in, the incumbent state senator is looking mostly OK I think, but the two assembly seats are more precarious. Seat has existed since the Watergate election and Republicans have always won it (tho Obama and Hillary both won it so we're not exactly talking Utah here). Hard to tell what's still out in Burlco because the county is a fucking embarrassment at reporting election results.

How do the worst people slip through GOP primaries at an alarming rate?

Chris Brown has picked up Whelan's old seat in Atlantic County so the GOP notched one tonight anyway. He ran waayyy ahead of his assembly ticketmates. Him vs. Van Drew would be a pretty epic open seat clash.

Virginia Governor-elect Ralph Northam was rushed off stage by a security official at the start of his victory speech Tuesday night.

Three protesters were seen heckling Northam and holding homemade signs, including one Northam sign with the word "sanctuary" written across it. The protesters appeared to be escorted out of the victory party.

Northam returned promptly to the podium to speak and did not address the disruption.

Dems picked up both freeholder seats up in Burlington County tonight, though the 2nd place Dem beat the 1st place Republican by just ~2300 while Murphy won the county by 18k votes. Dems will have a chance to win a majority on the board next year. Haven't had one in 43 years, despite every Democrat winning it at the presidential level since George H. W. Bush in 1988.

The machine is strong, but it is apparently not completely invulnerable.

GOP holding onto numerous state leg seats, including both assembly districts in the 8th, by under 1k voters throughout NJ. Apocalyptic night for the state GOP avoided by the narrowest of margins.

Murphy winning statewide by 14%. If it was 20%, it'd have been gruesome.
