The Proposed tax plan is bizarre. It probably does help the working middle class (greater standard deduction). It hammers the working wealthy (especially those in the high state tax states), the estate tax elimination is just a huge giveaway to the idle rich.

There has been a lot of quality hay made from pointing out that there is plenty of (well deserved) outrage at the NYC incident, but compare that to the absolute vacuum around the 59 dead in Las Vegas, and the 900 since due to gun violence. It has only been a month, and there has been no legitimate action, much less furthered discussion.

By virtue of living in an expensive area I believe I will get smacked based on the little bit known about the tax plan.

Corker doesn't appear to be a huge fan of the plan.

I really haven't dug in on it yet. I assume it is intended to be effective 1/1/2017 and not retroactive.

Is this tax plan another 50 vote deal in the Senate?

It is to be effective for tax years following December 31, 2017.
