This delay is a double-edged sword. It gives Mitch more time to grease certain palms, but it gives constituents more time to pressure their Senators. Also, the more Mitch gives the more he's likely to lose on the other end.

no, you guessed it, I'm just theorizing based on why in fuck would anyone shuffle down to the drumpfhouse now that Mitch has shut shit down? guys like Corker were pissed at the previous summons, & that was fairly innocuous. No way HE's going, and I can't believe others would be inclined. What for?

I don't get that the delay hurts them because there's more time for public pressure. Hasn't the max pressure been applied the last few days? People tend to lose interest, and these dicks have already said there won't be town halls back home. I doubt we see mass rallies in the heat and distractions of summer.

Maybe this is more a logistical problem because insurers need to roll out 2018 plans asap?

They've yet to show a spine/defiance to the White House. They shouldn't go, but I'm not holding my breath.

, I can't wait for the leaks about what goes down at the White House today. I'm sure they'll be a bit of a tantrum. It's sort of being spun in the Press like they're going to come out of this with a plan, but I just don't see that happening. Something about a reminder about what they ran on, Etc. My suspicions will be that lots of threats will be given, and some pointing towards the type of attack at that Heller and friends are seeing now.

You said it yourself; McConnell surrendered without any serious shots (rallies, etc) being fired, other than a few wheelchair-bound "losers" being yanked from in front of his offices. Plenty of opportunity to shut R revisions down, and every passing day put Rs, and insurers, further behind the operational 8-ball - from here on, coverage market disfunction is on them

Plus it's just additional time to drive home the main point that THE purpose of McConnell's bill is to give huge tax breaks to the comfortable
