So it was 6-3, but unanimous 9-0 in a narrow scope. So if someone said that Donald is the greatest pile of horse crap ever, the tweet would read 'thephan said that Donald is the greatest ever'!

It is not a clear, clean, or decisive win, but it is a victory until ~October.

Video of the press conference is banned and audio is delayed until after the conference ends. The party line is that the press are a bunch of show boater, dancing for the cameras and getting their 'gotcha moment' up on YouTube. The WH has quite enough of that! How many times does Spicer&Co not have to answer a question until we get it? <oh, we get it> Anyway, if grand standing is the objectionable aspect to this, how does the tape delay solve anything?

I am anxious for the dramatic reenactments. Maybe with puppets and clowns.

Sweet. When are he and the rest of his posse leaving?

Pete Hoekstra was on CNN earlier today talking about how Obama has systematically gone after Trump since the election. What? Basically an expansion on the 'no there-there' argument with a twist that Obama's administration not playing harder against Russian activity proves it.

Sometimes I wish that the TV in the break room was on some day time TV just to spare my sanity some.

Should be getting the CBO report any minute now which in a sane world would be the nail in the coffin in this whole thing but, you know, nothing matters.

Very excited for the hot takes on how it's an improvement to the House bill, without comparing it to the actual law - the ACA.

Premiums would decrease in the individual market in 2020!

...after increasing until then.

And out of pocket healthcare spending will increase because less will be covered.

They have $200B in savings to play with to try and soften the bill/buy votes.

Each bill gets fractionally better! 20 more rounds of this and we will be back to ACA levels of insured.

The thing about this bill though, is the losses would be more immediate. 15 million more uninsured in 2018, which definitely looks appealing to those up for re-election.

Heller and Collins previously said something to the effect that they couldn't vote for something that leaves 20 million + uninsured, so if they stick to their guns we're at a tie. Murkowski is pretty pro-funding to Planned Parenthood which was removed, so she may be the magic Senator (also unless things have changed, Alaska gets fucked hard by the bill).

As they come up on their next opportunity to completely fuck up healthcare, news is trickling out about the opportunity to completely screw up tax reform. In act one of tax reform there is the unquenchable desire to quash the ability to write off interest. While that seems like maybe it's a winner when you stack up that he could have a $15 trillion net positive to the tax system over a 10 or 20 year period, the big blow comes to folks like farmers who have bridge loans, and midsize businesses who need access to capital to grow. You know things like food on the table for Farmers while their crops come in, or the ability for a midsize business to get financing for say office furniture. Given given that healthcare reform will kill off some portion of them, those who are left without enoughmoney to get the job done, will just simply need to get sick and die. Of course whatever happens there won't be any opportunity for them to retire given that they're going to need to come up with 20,000+ dollars per year for health insurance in what once was called thier retirement years.
