It seems to me if you go from Sasha Baron Cohen to Remi Malik, you're making some real changes in the movie. Given that Malik didn't start work on the film until 2016, and they also brought in a new director, the movie that got made is completely different from whatever they set out to make in 2010. From what I've read, it's going to be closer to a tribute film, de-emphasizing the darker aspects of Mercury's life, which makes sense given that the surviving members of Queen are heavily involved in it the movie.

recall reading recently that some of the LGBT community are getting upset that they are trying to straightwash the movie by ignoring the AIDs crisis and much of Mercury's gay life

I liked Ready Player One quite a bit... think it got overshadowed a bit by the Avengers and Deadpool and stuff coming in after it

Just watched this and really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure at first, but it was fun. Some great references to movies and games I haven't thought about in a long time.

Loved The Greatest Showman. The songs and dancing are so fun. And Zendaya, gah.

James Bond out next November. Danny Boyle directing. No Waltz (wtf). I'm excited. Think they "kill" Bond off in some way.

Late to the party but the "Before" trilogy is fantastic. The dialogue, the direction, the natural chemistry between Hawke/Delpy are superb.

There's a film based on a UCSF brain scientists book - that Whitney Cummings has turned in to a fantastic romantic comedy. Very surprised is hasn't gotten mainstream distribution but I think you can stream it on Amazon and iTunes --

it's called:

"The Female Brain".

If you have a wife or girlfriend watch it together - you will laugh aloud at least a few times...

I was relieved too. i really didn't think littlefoot would find his way back. It was pretty intense, didn't know if it was the colors, the demon staring at me in the corner of the living room, or simply that I was frying on mushrooms.

Filming began today on Top Gun 2.

And coming next November, a live action/animated Sonic the Hedgehog starring James Marsden.... :q:

Toy Soldiers was 1 of my favorite movies growing up, watching it now for the 1st time in 20+ years or so, it’s not as good as I remembered
