Oceans 8 is fun. Good addition to the franchise

Anyone see Hereditary?

My wife just sent me a trailer, but she won't watch it. I'm wondering if it's worth a watch.

also, I watched a Quiet Place the other night. Enjoyed it, but I could only get a Japanese copy, so all the captioning was in Japanese. This meant the first 2/3 of the film we actually completely without talking/dialogue. I think I understood what was going on the whole time because, you know, 70% of communication is nonverbal. It was a little weird though.

Just saw it this afternoon. Has some spooky stuff, and the actors do what they can, but in the end gets too unintentionally funny and silly to be truly scary. Not the worst way to spend two hours, but not essential to see.

Incredibles 2 was really good. Just as good as the first one.

Vudu is great on the PS4. Xbox blows with basically every function

The PS4 app can't do 4k ya fanboy!

(though apparently the xbox one cant either, practically) which is Vudu's fault as their app in 4k on the LG tv works just fine.

cool, sounds close to what I expected. It's rare for a horror movie not to feel silly at some point, imo. I'll probably watch it when the wife is alseep sometime.

Ever see The Changling with George C Scott? I think it's from the 80's. That scared the crap out of me when I saw it. Never seemed silly.... a little slow in spots, but pretty good film. Maybe it would seem mild by today's standards, I don't know.

Agreed, saw it on Saturday and loved it. The fight in that white cube with the screen saver was awesome. One of the coolest things I think I've seen on a big screen. Great flick.

I don't think I have, but it sounds interesting.

The last scary thriller I watched was the Secret Window with Johnny Depp (based on Stephen King’s book). It's about a guy who is trying to write a novel in a strange house. Really liked this dark film, all King’s traditional mix of madness and horror are well shown. I am the one who loves scary movies :-D Depp is a great actor and all movies he appears in become memorable.
Read about this movie and Depp as well and found out that he likes remote and mystic houses in life as well: this is the villa he bought in French Riviera.

I thought it was...pretty good. Entertaining enough but nowhere near the level of say, Coco.

Yeah, agreed. Coco is a great movie, IMO while Incredibles 2 is a really good family movie.

Incredibles 2 is a 9
