azrider wrote:The comebacks.... not knowing this movie ever existed for the past ten years may arguably be a greater tragedy than the 9% it got on rotten tomatoes. Great flick. Honestly, any movies with carl weathers you know is going to be good. The most underrated actor of our time.

Seriously, the appreciation Mr. Weathers has for artistic integrity of the roles he plays and movies he's in can not be understated. There are so many guys who simply sold out for the paycheck and lost their way. You know, the Robert DeNiro, Johnny Depp, and Harrison Fords' of the world. They may have houses all over the world and famous trophy wives and girlfriends, but it's only carl that stays true to the craft.

I was going to post something snarky about my favorite role of his being Dr. Artimus Snodgrass in The Sasquatch Gang, but then I scanned down his list of roles and saw a really interesting collection of Tv shows. He's done episodes of ...

Good Times,
Kung Fu
S.W.A.T.
6 million dollar man
Cannon
Switch
Bronk
McCloud
Starsky and Hutch
Barnaby Jones
Tales of the Unexpected
The Shield
ER
The Streets of San Francisco
Psych
Arrested Development

There are others. There are some classic shows on there

Shawshank is exactly the kind of movie I hate. And I loved it.

did a double feetch last night

Ingrid Goes West was hilarious and engaging and I kinda loved it but it also made me squirm and cringe the entire time so hesitant to recommend it to strongly

IT was pretty solid but kinda sacrificed pace and breathing room for quantity of scares. maybe that was a good call, maybe not. I just re-read the book last year so I'm probably too close to it

I really want to see this. I imagine it will be a few months before I can find a decent copy though.

The Handmaiden (Park Chan-Wook) is one of the best/craziest movies I've seen in years. I would like it a lot even without all the extended lesbian scenes. The uncle character is up there on the list creepiest movie characters. Reminded me a bit of Kakihara from Ichi the Killer

I liked IT a lot. Not so much scary but very creepy (like most of King's books).

Agree. I didn't know who wrote/directed beforehand but right away picked up on the Sicario vibe. Not as much action as Sicario but much more disturbing.

Logan, The Big Sick and Apes 3 are the best movies I've seen this year

LOgan really didn't click for me, but I agree on the other two. Saw the Big Sick Friday night and really liked it.

Keeping in mind that I haven't seen many of the movies you guys have.
