Three years later, the Falcons would make another trip to Mobile, however this visit was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Bowling Green fell behind the high-powered Tulsa Golden Hurricane early in the game and never recovered, losing 63-7.

Reminds of the kid in 6th grade doing a book report in front of the class who never read the book. "Where the Red Fern Grows is about...[looks at book cover]...a boy...and his dogs....and ferns. The ferns were red. They grew a lot that year. The boy and his dogs would go out to the woods. The woods are where the red ferns grew. They would watch the red ferns grow. It was very moving and I recommend everyone read it. Thank you.
