never imagined a coup led by a military big shot nicknamed Mad Dog might one day be a good thing for the country I was born in

of course the Phillies weren't a lock to win even ONE WFS in my lifetime, so
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

U.S. Central Command said in a statement that an investigating team had "concluded regrettably that civilian non-combatants were likely killed" during Sunday's raid. It said children may have been among the casualties.

Central Command said its assessment "seeks to determine if there were any still-undetected civilian casualties in the ferocious firefight."

U.S. military officials told Reuters that Trump approved his first covert counterterrorism operation without sufficient intelligence, ground support or adequate backup preparations.

As a result, three officials said, the attacking SEAL team found itself dropping onto a reinforced al Qaeda base defended by landmines, snipers, and a larger than expected contingent of heavily armed Islamist extremists.

so a quote from Australian media regarding the conversation said "Malcolmn Turnbull bleieves Trump is a bully and to confront a bully, you must bully back ... He wasn't just sitting there being berated." So I guess Trump was doing his egotistical spiel, the Australian PM wasn't taking it which lead Trump to throw a tantrum and hang up 25 minutes into the call.

We need a growing chorus of conservatives to call out the Cheeto-in-Charge.

Mittens, Bush, McCain, Graham, Evan McMullin - and this Hawaiian:

The House approved a resolution removing Fukumoto from leadership and naming Rep. Andria Tupola as the new minority leader on a voice vote Wednesday.

"We're all good, and then she gives the speech at the women's rally, which was basically an anti-Trump rally," said Republican Rep. Bob McDermott. "She said our president is a sexist, is a racist, and that we have a bully in the White House. ... That is very problematic for the top elected Republican in the state."

DRAIN THAT SWAMP:
WASHINGTON — Two senior U.S. lawmakers unveiled legislative plans on Monday to scrap a rule devised under the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial reform law requiring publicly-traded mining, oil and gas companies to disclose payments they make to foreign governments.

Michigan Republican Bill Huizenga, who chairs the House of Representatives Financial Services subcommittee on capital markets, and Oklahoma Republican James Inhofe, chairman of the Senate Environment Committee, took aim at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s so-called “resource extraction” rule, saying it makes it harder for U.S. energies companies to compete.

The SEC rule is championed by human rights organizations who say the disclosure of payments to foreign governments by companies like Exxon Mobil Corp and Chevron should help reduce corruption.

France, Canada and the UK have since adopted this rule. Oh well, nice while it lasted.

trump's latest "policy" brainstorm, in wake of Berkeley protest: re-evaluate federal funding for any school activities, research, etc

round up a handful of rock throwers & coax them to explain who put it in their pointy little heads to do what they were doing. That would be interesting

"I think you need to look at what Stephen Bannon did in terms of building a media giant that has crushed its left-wing rivals in terms of a breitbart.com," Sebastian Gorka told NPR earlier this week when asked how Bannon's experience in the media is relevant to national security.

"I think one has to look at what he did for the Trump campaign to understand that this is a man who eats and breathes and sleeps strategy."
