I mean, I hope he does eradicate terrorism but yeah.

me too, but it's obviously not going to happen. Terrorist groups are like whack-a-moles.

kinda weird. reviewing troops, with wifey & the Pences, standing somewhat forlornly all alone on the Capitol(?) steps . Looks like it's still raining, but no one attending them at all.

It's almost like he knows that he is going to prison soon. At the very least his ego has been bruised by the small turnout.

It was super well organized. Could not believe how easy it was to get in and out, though it was packed. Got lucky with my ticket gate being like 5 blocks from my apartment.

Crowd was mostly ok. Thought it was cringey when Schumer got booed, but honestly most things I overheard were pretty fine. Was expecting worse.

His speech was very Trumpy and not good. The trade, immigration, and foreign policy stuff is skin crawling. It's going to be a long 4 years.

I didn't put a lot of thought into my attire and wore a Phillies hat because of the forecasted rain. Too many other people in red hats.

The few protesters I saw were low key, but I'm south of the mall. A very weird moment walking back to my place seeing a woman wearing a Trump that bitch t-shirt, then less than a block later a woman wearing a #notmypresident over Trump's face sweatshirt. Mr. Trump hasn't healed the divide just yet. Needs more all caps.

this Russian investigation stuff is going to be a great distraction for Ryan as he dismantles the american safety net. We'll see if the press and the american people can pay attention to more than one thing at a time.

Trumps walk to their hotel then get back in the car, passing Russian flags and giant Trump head signs with swastika mouths

Look, I am as upset as the next girl or guy that a reality TV "star" is now running our country but this kind shit is fucking stupid. It was stupid in Ferguson, it was stupid in Baltimore and it is stupid in DC. You destroying someone livelihood is not going to make things all better.

And by "you", I certainly was not referring to you, specifically, AZRider.

I wonder how long Trump has to hold office before people blame him for a terrorist attack? Few people say Bill Clinton had any responsibility for 9/11, it seems to be generally accepted that 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. Of course, the immediate fall out of 9/11 was a surge in Bush's popularity, which allowed him to start two rather pointless and stupid wars, but not nearly as pointless and stupid as one(s) Trump might start, so I don't think anyone should be rooting for a terrorist attack at all.

Him making impossible promises isn't going to change reality and it will help people see him as the fraud he is. I am not saying I wish bad things to happen.

plus any promise he makes probably either overtly sounds bad or is bad if you think about it. i sincerely hope he fulfills none of his promises.
