Thoughts and prayers come from people in power with the ability to change it. Professional franchises cannot change police brutality, but they can show solidarity with the social justice movements. I agree that both are at the base symbolic, but I do not think they're synonymous.

Kinda like the concept of fanless sporting events. Whether it’s cardboard cutouts, virtual or no one at all it’s surreal and I think it enhances the purity of the event. With that being said, I would give anything to sneak into one and watch.

radiohead is the only modern rock band that is a true successor to 70s classic rock. the only very popular (as popular as rock can be in 2020) band today that is still very invested in the idea of "Album Oriented Rock" and crafting cohesive albums.

If a President can nominate a Supreme Court justice and the Senate can approve them, they should do so. It's not only their right, but their job. It was wrong to delay in the case of Garland, and it's wrong now. There's absolutely no moral high ground in claiming otherwise, it's just that some people don't like the outcome.

I actually agree with this. The wrong thing was not giving Garland a vote. This is only wrong because of the - heh heh - "principle" the crying cry babies established four years ago.
