Andy Williams is better than Frank Sinatra.

Got a problem with it? Take it up with Nelson Muntz.

There will never be a vaccine made for Covid.

Now, let's figure out a realistic way forward.

I mean, are most people not staying at home and praying for an end in sight? There isn't one. And in any optimistic scenario, this doesn't happen for like 4 years. So let's be realistic and adapt as a species

A vaccine may not be here in a month but ways to help limit the damage done, like remdesivir and monoclonal Antibodies, are closer and will hopefully bridge the gap

Neither of those kill viruses, but I get what you're saying. And I'm saying, this virus will not go away unless it mutates it's way away, and that should be years.

I didn't say it would kill the virus. I said i'm optimisticallly hopeful that it can bridge the gap until a vaccine is available. THere is info coming soon from Dr. Glanville that hopefully proves this to be true

I understand what you said. But my unpopular opinion can't be extrapolated like that.. the point is that there is no gap bridging or waiting until a vaccine is available. Because you're gonna be staying at home for a long long time holding out hope for that

I didn't create it. But we've certainly been placed in it. And authority figures are treating it as such, well I guess in PA's case, also red yellow and green

Not even there is it black and white. It's quite literally different shades, not black and white. You're also acting like we're locked in our houses.

If this is an effective treatment, it's huge.

I think that's the irony, we're not locked in our houses, and we're still allowed to go to grocery stores and post offices. People catch it there everyday. But there is real fear to still hide from it, and that's the black and white picture that authorities have painted for us. I want to stop myself from sounding insensitive, since there as real facets to this, but those real facets are the black and white logic we're to abide by. And I think where we're headed right now is the division of that contrast. At risk will be separate from the workforce, and life will move on for a few months. And then come fall/flu/election season, we'll play another one of their games.

I think you're letting yourself go down that path. I don't see this black and white picture from authorities because they're all saying different things. Not just R vs D, but local levels too.

Potentially unpopular opinion... I take comfort in the familiar feeling of watching The Dude get into arguments with posters about the level of nuance in their earlier posts on a topic.

Not sure how you can like Cougars so completely. Isn't it more nuanced than that? ;)
