Standing Up-type Comedy

yeah, the name used to be Comedy Death Ray, can't remember why the changed it. But, you can listen to a couple of the podcasts and get a feel for what the tv show is. Aukerman is great, and some hilarious characters were made on the show. Paul F Tompkins does some great characters, Adomian too

I think in anticipation of the show is why they renamed it

I think I like the Todd glass podcast and the who charted podcast way more than the main one.

Paul F. Tompkins' Cake Boss character is amazing. The show turned me onto the podcast and it's pretty good stuff

The headliner at Helium last night was Joe DeRosa. He was okay. Certainly seemed more polished than the openers, but I thought his material was mostly pretty weak. Chantry had at least three bits better than DeRosa's best

Tompkins as Andrew Lloyd Webber is even better. Can't believe how funny he is

i dont listen to his podcast anymore because i thought it was too over-produced but the funniest part of it was whenever all his characters would be talking ot each other. he's really funny.

If you like Paul F. Tompkins' characters, and especially when they talk to each other, he's done a couple episodes of Doug Loves Movies where he plays all three guests. The first one he was himself, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gary Marshall. The second time he was himself, Ice-T and Cake Boss. Hilarious.

I pretty much only listen to Comedy Bang Bang now if I see Tompkins or Andy Daly on it. James Adomian is also great but the other two are can't miss for me. The Tompkins/Bobby Moynihan episode from a couple months ago was incredible.

I really need to get out to LA and see Tompkins do one of his shows at Largo. Or anyone at Largo.

Patton has 2 shows here at the end of the month but they both sold out instantly.
