Going to be booking and hosting comedy at a new venue my friend is opening in DC next month.

If I don't go bankrupt and wind up on the streets that is.

Had the chance to see some real good acts this year...Craig Shoemaker, Andrew Dice Clay, Jim Norton and a few others.

I'm in the middle of a couple big comedy days.

Last night I saw Eugene Mirman, Michael Che, Nick Kroll, Wyatt Cenac, Mike Birbiglia and Jon Glaser. Everyone was great except for Wyatt Cenac. Compared to everyone else it's crickets when he performs. And he closed the show. It's so weird. Jon Glaser is incredible. He's just on a different level. You can't even call what he does standup. It's more like one-man sketch/performance art.

Tonight I'm going to the live taping of Doug Loves Movies. His last couple live shows in NY have had sick guests so my hopes are pretty high. But I have a feeling it'll just be everyone I saw last night.

Kyle Kinane just had a pretty decent special on Comedy Central the other night called Whiskey Icarus. I think it'll replay a couple times this week so set yr DVRs. It's also on iTunes and the rest of the internet

Kinane's funny. If we can get this venue up and running, I'd love to book some of the mid-level alt-comics if I can. They usually go to the Drafthouse out in Arlington, which holds 300+ I think. Ours will be more like 150-200ish, downtown.

The first show I'm doing has Seaton Smith as headliner, who was on one of the 0&A tours.

Two weeks. Hosting. Can't wait. Hope people show up. Hope my jokes do.
