I've decided he officially pisses me off. He's no better than Carlos Mencia. Not even just that both are basically phonies, but they use their fake identity to tell blatantly racist jokes.

I didn't listen, but it's kind of jarring to hear they didn't tear him apart.
Larry the Cable Guy is on like, minute 20 of his 15 minutes.
His movie Delta Farce looks freaking miserable. It's Blue Collar Comedy Tour goes to Iraq: The Movie.
Plus a skinny white kid.

I only heard the aftermath so I didn't hear them drooling when he was on....but they were justifiably bitching about how the station dumped out of a whole part of his routine that was making fun of Asians. No curse words or FCC violations, just jokes. Seriously, a comedian on comedy show can't make jokes about another race?

But yeah, I can't stand Larry the Cable guy either. If we never see or hear from him or Dane Cook again I'd be extremely happy.

True, Larry the Cable Guy sucks, but you have to at least give credit to the hard working and brilliant guy behind the act. I understand that not everything that is popular is necessarily good, but you can't deny the fact that there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people that love the guy. He's just a smart guy making an absurd nice living telling fart and hick jokes. Who can fault him for that?
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

I agree, the Larry the Cable Guy act got old about 20 min in, but you can't argue with the fact that he's paid his dues. Same with Dane Cook. It's not like either one of them were over night hits, both of them have been doing comedy for well over 10 years each.

But niether one of them can star in a movie worth a damn. Delta Farce looks like it could be one of the worst films ever made, and not in a good way.

And Dane Cook is playing a serious role in some upcoming Kevin Costner movie. The clips I saw were hilarious.

I just wonder how popular he'd be if his audience realized he's basically making fun of them. I've seen clips of him when he was Dan on youtube, and he has a joke about a girl who has a tick on her that looks like a mole. As Larry the Cable Guy it comes off as "oh that crazy redneck and his zany stories" but as Dan it comes off as "you know who are really unclean and disgusting people? rednecks"

Yeah, between this and their CONSTANT talking about Imus, I have been turning them off lately.

I will say that even though I think he's unfunny and its an obvious fake personality, he does get paid. I guess I just hate the people that have latched on to the humor and the 'idea' of Larry the Cable Guy

True. If people buy it, that says more about htem I guess.

Larry the Cable Guy has never blatantly stolen from a better comic though

The sun shines on a dog's ass every once in a while. It's like saying Jimmy Baker was a hard working and brilliant guy. Both of them are taking advantage of the salt of the earth folk, but just in different manners.
