Which book?

The Source - figured it best matched my interests. I love it so far but and writing is so smooth I think I could read anything he writes.

There's a similar book that focuses on rural Wisconsin called the pilot's of resentment that I reviewed over the summer and its getting a lot of attention these days and is worth reading.

This is freaking amazing news that I meant to post here yesterday. Don't know if it was posted elsewhere on bsg already.

I'm sure that one or more of you on here have read the first two books of the Kingkiller Chronicles. (If you haven't, and you are in any way a fan of fantasy books, I HIGHLY recommend them.)

Well, Lin-Manuel Miranda is a huge fan of them and he has reached a deal to produce the film/TV adaptations of the books, as well as the short stories/novellas from that universe.

http://www.tor.com/2016/11/29/lin-manuel-miranda-the-kingkiller-chronicle-adaptation-patrick-rothfuss/

If you've read the books, you know how much of a role music/poetry plays in the stories. And if you're just a fan of Hamilton, the tone of the song "The Story of Tonight" was inspired by scenes with Kvothe (the main character) and his drinking buddies from the first book.

Yeah, unlike Sanderson, Martin, or even the late Robert Jordan, what Rothfuss puts out is honest to god prose, yet still endlessly entertaining.

We're still waiting on book three, which is the finale, and no clear timetable for its release either. He's very young (43) though. But this is a series that can be read and re-read without any problems other than length of the two books.

Second everything Richmond says. The first two books were great reads, and I mean to pick them up again soon.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

I don't believe for a second that only 26% of US adults haven't read a book in 12 months. It's gotta be way higher than that.

Agreed, most people I know irl don't read books at all. Hell, personally I know I went years without reading a book in my 20's. Even now, I don't read as much as I would like to.

yeah, assuming that means you targeted a book and read from page 1 to the end, I think the results are pretty promising

I've probably read 30+ books this year, and I feel like I'm slacking. Need to pick up the pace next year. Spend less time on BSG.

30 isn't even one a week. Unreal. You're educating our future?

I'm struggling to finish Name of the Wind, but it may be partially me tiring of the Audible narrator. Also the main character so far seems like kind of a jerkoff?
