i'd like to still try it and apparently its slow enough that you don't need to wait 2 hours to get a pizza anymore

i'd like to get a pie at Beddia and meet up with someone who got a pie at Gennaros and do a taste testing. they offer similiar toppings so you could get matching pizzas.

I've had it once and I live around the corner, went to JB's and downed three beers before it was ready

Of course that was two years ago, maybe it's slower now

DC is not known as a great Pie Town, but I've had four excellent pizzas there:

Wiseguy NY Pizza

2Amys

Comet Ping Pong

and, last weekend, 7th Hill Pizza:

Try Pupatella next time. I wasn't a fan of 2 Amy's the three times I've been there.

Another place some friends like is Pete's Apizza, which is New Haven style. I think I'm not as fond of it because I've actually been to New Haven and had pizza there, so it pales in comparison.

Both are in Arlington, VA.

I'll be going back often now that TP Jr lives there. Pupa has been on my list

Legendary Patsy's of East Harlem has authorized a few nearby franchises.

One opened in April in New Rochelle, and while the pizza is nothing like the coal-fired pie of East Harlem, it was a damn good Neapolitan. Cooks in 80 seconds.

I don't get into the city nearly as often as I'd like, so I can't say I've been there.

Rustica was very good, but not as good as I expected/hoped.

I really wanted to try the scrapple & egg pie, but Mrs. TP balked. We got half pepperoni, half andouille sausage.

The crust was very good, despite being cooked on a screen. Good flavor and texture, especially at the bone.

The sauce was pretty mild, and got lost under the sea of cheese. This pie would have been a lot better with half the cheese. The first half of each slice was limp from the weight and moisture riding on it.

Great neighborhood pie, but not in the same league as Pizzeria Vetri, Barbuzzo, Pizza Brain.
