Yeah, I want that pie, but not that bad.

I waited 2 hours at Di Fara (worth it) and 3 hours at Pizzeria Bianco (worth it only because you can sit outside and drink at a wine bar while you wait)

Hopeful that some other joint will be anointed Hipster Pie of The Moment so the buzz at Beddia dies down

North of Brooklyn is making spectacular NY slices in Toronto. Flawless pizza.

On Queen St, which kinda reminds me of Portland. Hipster central.

Not surprisingly I’m sure, the Orlando area has to be one of the worst spots for pizza anywhere. Went to this place near me a couple weeks back because the reviews I’d read were pretty good. The pizza was passable, but nothing great, which I kind of expected. Still it was probably better than all the other crappy mom and pop places around me. Went back last week, ordered the same thing and it was a hot mess.

It was unevenly cooked (which seems to be a very common problem with many of the small places around here). You couldn’t pick up a slice and eat it. A lot of the crust was so undercooked, paper thin and weighted down with grease and toppings it would just fall apart and you had to eat it with a fork. There was one piece that was loaded with like 10 times more cheese and toppings than the rest of the pizza. Clearly made very quickly and carelessly.

I just want a good pizza.

I wonder if it would help if I order my pizza from these places as "well done". I've seen that as an option, but always figured I'd just get some charred, burnt mess. But it seems most of these small places just don't thoroughly cook the crust so you just get some chewy, doughy rubbish.

Problem is, most of these mom'n'pop places are using crap Sysco ingredients to cut costs. So well done might be a better pizza, but it's crap well done.

Find the artisan joints - even Orlando has them now. Once you eat at Anthony's, you will forego that mass-sourced crap. You're better off with DiGiorno.

So like a year ago I mentioned that I had a random hankering for Stouffer's French Bread Pizza, but not a frozen one. I never did find it back then, but I tried a Little Caesars Detroit style deep dish pizza the other day and it reminded me of the french bread pizza (wtf is Detroit style deep dish anyway?)

I'd eat it again.

I think I just lost all my pizza cred.

I really wanted to try that LC Detroit pie until I saw the nutritional info.

And, as always, even bad pizza is better than no pizza.
