my dad just got one this weekend and i can't figure out why. like 10 of his friends have them and i guess they talk about it a lot and he felt left out. but he's on LinkedIn so I don't really get how Facebook adds anything for him

Jeter was great in this series. He has five rings. Wow. I'm going to throw up now.

about 100 million of them
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

My favorite is one of the higher ups at work, snobbish, lots of money...he says he's a fan of both the Yankees and Cardinals. His office is adorned with memorabilia from both, and you can see him walking to the parking lot with one of either of those hats on, depending on who's doing what that particular moment.

Nice, the two teams with the most titles...life must be hard for him.

A friend of mine is a bandwagon fan. Yankees, Lakers, USC, Duke, Patriots. He was at my house during the NBA Finals. Lakers win the title, he puts his arm up for a split second, then asks if anybody wants to play poker. He won't stop texting me now. You can't make this stuff up.

I can't stand front runners. It imparts a lack of loyalty and dedication. When the going gets tough, they buy a Yankees/Cowboys/Lakers jersey.

that's how a quitter would celebrate. You don't deserve so much as a smile if they win.

You can know that

1) he's missing the point; and

2) the joy you experienced last year is something he'll never remotely approach

It's a good trade.

Beats me, but I've been having trouble the past few weeks after posting. It used to be that I could poist and then hit the back button a few times to get back to where I left off. But now, about half the time, when I make a post and try to hit the back button, it asks me if I want to repost what I just posted. It won't let me go back and I just have to miss what happened since I left off or try to work my way back by using the page numbers. It's annoying, but I'm not sure what's changed.

He should be exiled. Is there anything worse?

$#@! gulag his ass.

On Friday, i'll have to hear about why USC should get an at-large BCS bid.

Seriously, though. Get a couple this inning and it's just a 2-run game.
