Someone kicking me when my team has just blown the WS due to playing much worse then they are capable of playing, are not going to seem funny to me. I'm going to want to smash their faces in. I repeat, tomorrow is going to suck.

Jokes aside, this does show a serious empathy fail. Unless she's, well, unless she's Carrie Prejean, probably not worth hanging out with.

i dumped a girl who laughed and taunted me after an august/september game that urbina blew in the 8th inning at shea. no lie. i knew right then what my priorities in life were.

The Phils were 2 wins away from winning the World Series with 1 starter, a shaky bullpen and lots of defensive blunders. Unfortunately, all 3 of those reasons is why they won 2 games, not 4.

I work with a "serious" Yankee fan who isn't a gloater. I'm sure he's psyched but he's not a petty dick about it. You're right, the casual fans are absolutely the worst.

This is true of one of my really good friends and a bunch of colleagues whom I like and respect. It's to the point where I'll actually be kind of happy for them.

completely agreed about this. the diehard yankee fans I know have been a little smug but definitely not as bad as the random people who pop up with yankee stuff on that you know didnt watch many games until the playoffs
