Remember when the Phillies scored like 10 runs in an inning against the Cards a year ago?

Now would be a good time to do that.

My favorite is one of the higher ups at work, snobbish, lots of money...he says he's a fan of both the Yankees and Cardinals. His office is adorned with memorabilia from both, and you can see him walking to the parking lot with one of either of those hats on, depending on who's doing what that particular moment.

Nice, the two teams with the most titles...life must be hard for him.

There's a teacher I work with who alternates between Texas and Oklahoma hats... how the eff can you reconcile that?

Maybe those bugs from Cleveland will attack Jaba and we'll get like 6 this inning.

that'll be funny: "Hay" following "Ho" for a change

Here's another: Dude I used to work with in radio claimed to be both a North Carolina and Duke fan. I was speechless when he told me...what the hell is wrong with people?

A friend of mine is a bandwagon fan. Yankees, Lakers, USC, Duke, Patriots. He was at my house during the NBA Finals. Lakers win the title, he puts his arm up for a split second, then asks if anybody wants to play poker. He won't stop texting me now. You can't make this stuff up.

You can know that

1) he's missing the point; and

2) the joy you experienced last year is something he'll never remotely approach

It's a good trade.

I've tried to explain that to him. I have pictures, hats, shirts, DVDs, the works to commemorate the 2008 WFCs. This guy didn't even buy the Lakers locker room championship t-shirt or hat. He owns exactly 1 Yankee hat, no Lakers/USC/Patriots gear and a few Duke shirts. I don't even know what to say to him anymore.

I think he just likes to bring up the "rings" for all these teams whenever he gets involved in a sports argument. "You are a Phillies fan and they have a 2 whole championships. The Yankees have 27!!!!!!"
