Now the Dodgers, these guys are a bunch of roosters.

Only a nascent mullet on Tulo. Probably the key to the series. It was overpowered by Werth's patch/chops

Tracy and most of the Rockies are quality individuals from all I've seen and heard. I've also always been okay with Hurdle as well.

Dodgers are a different story.

I only had an issue with the Rockies because they declared themselves God's team a few years ago.

Yes, but this was more of an ownership/upper management deal than it was the players. Not necessarily related to this issue, they have some of the worst owners in baseball, IMO.

You mean that one neutral announcer with the purple shirt and the other neutral announcer with the purple tie?
This is a simple game. You throw the ball, you hit the ball, you catch the ball.

Rox fans are sad

Eleven-year-old Mark Auger gazed dejectedly down at the suddenly empty baseball diamond, then took the inside-out rally cap off his head and flipped it back outside-out.

Rocktober was over.

aww

----------------

Rox player reactions

"It's impossible to put into words how bad it feels, for the season to be over when you didn't expect it to happen," Street said. "I feel responsible."
.
.
"It's so hard because you feel like you let the team down," setup man Rafael Betancourt said. "But we would not have been in this position without Huston."
.
.
"It makes it harder to swallow," Giambi said. "But that's why they are the defending champions."
.
.
"I wasn't panicking when he walked Utley because I really thought we would get out of it," Torrealba said. "But we couldn't get them to chase pitches."
.
.
Street couldn't hide his disgust. He returned to the clubhouse to watch the tape of his pitches. Then he sat motionless in his chair for five minutes, trying to digest what happened.

How, in the span of 29 pitches, Rocktober became Rocks over.

"It's numbing," Street said. "But I would rather this happen to me and not one of my teammates. It's tough. But I know I can handle it. We lost to a great team."

Really nothing but class from their players, and especially Jim Tracy.

This series takes a lot of the sting out of 2007 and I wish them the best moving forward, especially Helton.

you can see it from the infield side replay, and from behind 1st base

Forgivable since the umpire wasn't really in position to see it (IIRC, the ump was on the shortstop side of the infield grass, in position to call a play at 2B). What isn't forgivable is the broadcasters not even mentioning it, considering how they harped about the Utley IF single yesterday.

Actually, the MLB video clips package that BigEd posted on the last page shows that he didn't touch Utley at all. Great view from Center field.

On a related note, I was really really really impressed by that package of clips. Lots of good stuff in there, including the same plays back-to-back to back with the network broadcasters, then our guys, then the Rox guys. Way way cool. Do they do that for every playoff game???

Does that team have one likable player on the roster? The ring leader of the douchenozzle's is that $#@! Martin. I loathe him with every fiber of my being.

Everyone loves Thome, but he just got there. The douche plague hopefully hasn't infected him.
