oh crap, carlos peña is an mlb network analyst now!

Remember the Maine wrote:No way. You thought Phillie fans were intolerable now, back to back titles would give them immunity from trash talk for the next 6-8 yrs, or until the Mets won back to back titles (I'm guessing that won't happen within that 6-8 yr time span).

The Yankees have a higher payroll than the GNP of Guam. They're expected to win, so if they do, it'll suck, but it won't be nearly as bad as Philly.

Mutley:

"What Ryan Howard does is amazing. He's just so calm, he goes up there and waits and swings at good pitches (mostofthetime)......"

For those that attended these games in Denver, what are your lasting impressions of Rockies fans? No feelings, mild annoyance, lasting annoyance, undying hatred, etc.?

Personally, I developed a real hatred of Dodgers fans after NLCS Games 3 and 4 last season.

If anyone is feeling impartial, are Phillies fans as annoying with booing every single ball/strike the ump makes regardless of where the pitch is? That stuff was really driving me crazy.

No we aren't. The Rockies fans were booing at balls in the dirt and two feet outside. I never thought anyone could top Marlins fans for booing at every strike against their team, but the Rockies fans did it.
You're the conductor Ruben. Time to blow the whistle!

Phillies fans aren't perfect in that regard, but I don't think they'd be that annoying. With that said, I don't think Rockies fans are anywhere near the most annoying fans in baseball. Rays fans struck me as being much more annoying and less knowledgeable. Same for the Diamondbacks and a number of other teams.

I know some of you aren't crazy about Martino, but I thought this was pretty strong:

for all the nights of watching awful teams stink like poop on PRISM or elsewhere against franchises we've always been told are better than ours- from that... we've earned this.

we are the wFc.
