a) he didn't want to leave the cubbard bare b) he thinks the guys we got are great prospects
time will tell I guess. or he's $#@! and the ownership told him to $#@! off to ask for more money
I'd hope B is true. Really, and this is obvious, we can go by Law or BA or BP or whoever, the Phillies feel they got a fair deal for Lee. Here's hoping that they can fix Aumont and get him out of the pen and that Ramirez was the victim of a bad pitching environment. I'm confident that Tyson's base stealing acumen improves by leaps and bounds by the end of a ST with Davey.
"Everybody's a critic. This wasn't an aesthetic endeavor."
I mean if Gillies maintains his walk rate in AA, puts up an OB% around .400, steals 50 bags a year, and plays great defense, then hes a legit leadoff hitter and a very valuable big leaguer. Lots of ifs, but hes very young. And obviously has potential.
Okay, I have midweek worship in a little over an hour.... I have to actually pay attention to what I get paid to do, which isn't following the Phillies.
Together we will win this game against the evil Space Yankees! Eat Fresh!
