Breaking: The Phillies just announced they have traded for Roy Halladay. Sweet baby Jesus!

I'm starting to like this guy.

Good Lord, I remember that. I was sitting up in the 500 level freezing my tuchas off.

I remember Reggie Sanders hitting a grand slam in the first inning and Jim Thome tripling off the left centerfield wall in his first home AB.

Yeah, I was there too. That game was ass.

The only thing uglier than the Pirates Uni's was the score. One of the few times I left a game in the 4th.
Yes son. I'm the best mono-thingy guy there ever was.

It was brutal. Cold swirling winds, the Vet, etc.

Now the real question begins, what number is he going to wear?

Phillies.com has an add for customizing a jersey to Halladay 34 - so I assume 34.

Here's an interesting, meaningless fact. The Phillies have arguably the three best pitchers ever chosen #17 overall of all time.

1995: Halladay
1998: Lidge
2002: Hamels

Other possibilities: Cal Eldred, Charles Nagy, Dennis Rasmussen

I can't wait to hear Jolovitz scream a question and wax poetic. Always one of my favorite moments of a Philly press conference.
