The Mariners will also include a "throw-in" that truly baffles us about two months into the season.
Little is known about Halladay's intentions; he grew up in a suburb of Denver, and might prefer to go to the west coast.

Halladay will be Phillies
Among the names mentioned prominently this week were Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Chad Billingsley and Los Angeles Angels pitchers Joe Saunders, Jered Weaver and Ervin Santana.
Billingsley, Saunders and Weaver are eligible for salary arbitration this year and will command multimillion-dollar contracts this year or next.
Santana, meanwhile, is guaranteed about US$26-million over the next three seasons, with a club option for US$13-million in 2013.
That type of deal, which the other three will likely be looking for, is too rich for Toronto.
As one high-ranking team official confirmed, the Jays are after young, salary-controlled players.
The team believes second baseman Aaron Hill, outfielders Adam Lind and Travis Snider -- plus a more effective Vernon Wells, whose contract is immovable -- and a stable of young pitchers led by Shaun Marcum, Brett Cecil and Ricky Romero provide a decent core to build around.
The Jays want a major league-ready arm and bat, both young and affordable enough to stay in Toronto a while, plus prospects for Halladay.
It is a high price for a player with just one year left on his contract.
But with the number of clubs lining up, the Jays may escape the damage created by not having dealt Halladay before the 2009 trade deadline.
Industry insiders suggest serious offers in the coming weeks should match Toronto's wish list.
In an article for Slam Sports, Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun reports that Roy Halladay would waive his no-trade clause to be traded to the Yankees.
"I don’t know who Toronto will wind up with," a major league executive told Elliott. "I don’t know when he is going and I don’t know where he’s going. But I do know that Halladay has told the Jays he’ll approve a trade to the Yankees." According to the report, Halladay would not approve a deal to the Twins or the Rangers. General manager Alex Anthopoulos has previously said that he is not against trading Halladay within American League East if it were the best deal available.
Heard this: Roy Halladay's preferred destinations are the Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies or Angels.

Noticeably missing are the Dodgers.
That's a good thing.

Not to nitpick, but to clarify the 'support' for the idea, I think the source of both might be Olney. He broke in on Mike & Mike this morning to report this breaking news of Halladay saying "trade me before ST or never," and reiterated those four teams he mentioned yesterday.
