HALLADAY VIII: GUS IS SCRATCHNG LIKE A CHEAP JOHN

Postby Trent Steele » Thu Jul 30, 2009 15:33:31

Yahoo's Tim Brown sees the Dodgers and Red Sox as the frontrunners for Doc in what is shaping up as a two-team race. Brown says the only Major Leaguer in the Dodgers' offer is James McDonald, while the Sox will part with Clay Buchholz, one of Justin Masterson, Michael Bowden, and Lars Anderson, and some lesser prospects

Why would you not take that deal if you're Toronto? It's never going to get any better.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

Because your GM is a douche?

Has something changed that should make us think the Red Sox have any interest or have actually said they would trade Buchholz?

Does anybody really believe that the Sox are going to deal both Buchholz AND Masterson for Halladay? I don't believe that for a second and if they do hats off to JP for pulling the rabbit out of the hat.

I honestly give it a 10% chance of happening. And thats generous.

Toronto overplayed their hand, plain and simple.

honestly, that would be the BEST destination for him. Keep him in the AL on a team with no real other big time starters. They won't get past the Yankees or Red Sox anyway.

I still dont buy it.

I can honestly say the names they're talking about would make the short list of Worst. Trades. EVAR. if they give them up for a year and a half of Halladay.

Texas is finally doing things right. They can't possibly be thinking of raping their system to get Halladay for a year and a half. Can they?

I am going to go ahead and assume T.R. Sullivan was doing nothing more than trying to prove that the Rangers were at least trying for Roy. It was probably planted by Daniels.

Either that's it, or JP has found his stooge.

I lean toward Texas not being that stupid.

Why not just go storm Normandy and get shot in the face while you're at it
Why not get a plumbing license and run around high on shrooms stealing peoples' pocket change

How does a team exactly come close to making a deal, but then become unclose?

I told him people would confuse us Tuesday night when it appeared and he "claimed" it. I wasn't changing my avatar till we lost two in a row though.
