Halladay V - Final Destination

Postby The Dude » Sat Jul 25, 2009 11:26:36

Ok, that's only the opening offer, and the Phils can stand to get a year and a half of Halladay, replace the General, and get three top picks back? I mean, that's a hell of a lot to give up, but 3 picks like that is a nice return

Let me see if i have this right. You make the comment that you'd enjoy if an entire baseball team died in a car crash, and I'm the bad guy?

ya know...it would really have to be a pretty big car anyway

Man, that's steep. That is a ton of talent.

But at this point I'd probably do it.

That's the beauty of the Internet: it's a meritocracy. Societies on the Internet evolve just as societies do anywhere else. On a baseball forum, FTN is near the top of the food chain because of his intricate knowledge of both Major and Minor League baseball. If this were instead a forum for doctors, you'd be near the top assuming you're competent. But it's not.

You could very well be as or more knowledgeable than FTN when it comes to baseball. That should stand on its own; you shouldn't need charity points because you're a doctor and you went to Columbia. 8-)

And doctors seem to have the lowest self confidence, always reminding people they're doctors. Give it a rest, it's a messageboard, HillMD.Or should I say "Dr. Hill", you really need to hear that
