Monty kills the Halladay hard on

I prefer conspiracy theory. KK scratched for Qualls trade; Marson for Halladay trade. Much more fun!

Well Marson is not playing but catchers often get day games after a night game off.

SQUIRE

I'm guessing Kendrick is part of a Qualls, Willingham, or Spiborghs deal.

I think there would be more noise if Halladay were close to being done.

I prefer Marson called up to replace Bako... who's the centerpiece of the Halladay trade

If you're taking up my inquiry to PChuck, B, thanks - now all we need is for someone to run up those before/after #s to know if we have something to talk about

Sabathia really isnt the same since he it was a 2 month trade.

Santana not really the same because he had basically limited himself to the Mets.

Peavy? I guess that's closer, but he's not the same caliber as Halladay.

Texiera is probably the closest. Braves gave up some damn good players to get him, although I dont remember what the view was on Feliz at the time.

If you are using Teixteira as equivalent, the Braves traded their top 3 prospects at the time for him according to Baseball america at the beginning of the season. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/pr ... 63052.html Ours would be:

1. Dominic Brown, of
2. Carlos Carrasco, rhp
3. Lou Marson, c

I suppose I'd do that.

Those rankings are kind of old, I think it's hard to argue that the Phillies top three prospects are anyone but Brown, Drabek, and Taylor.

Except we all know our top 3 prospects now are Drabek, Brown & Taylor.

If Toronto wants to use the Prospect Handbook rankings then that's fine.

Edited after I noticed the use of the BA link in his original post.

rankings done in december are almost useless. prospect status is pretty fluid and change all the time.

our 1-3 is no doubt brown, drabek, taylor, and then carrasco, knapp and marson are probably the next 3, in some order.

What, you don't think Pat Overholt is the Philles 26th best prospect?

Which is hilarious because like five minutes ago the word is that he wouldn't be traded until the last day. No one knows anything

Admittedly, I don't follow this but this Ricciardi has to be on the chopping block, no? Every time he is quoted, he sounds like he's never even seen a baseball game before.
