I also heard he said he would rather field a competitive team year after year then win another world series and then fall off a cliff. sigh

all posturing

Ask yourself - why is Montgomery making the rounds today? JodyMac and DNL? For what reason? I really think they are close

I don't know why he is making the rounds. that's a good question

He's making the rounds because all anyone is talking about is Halladay a d he's a high-ranking member of the organization. It keeps the Phillies in multiple headlines - winning streak, Halladay - and deflects attention from the Eagles, who usually start stealing the spotlight this time of year.

I wonder if this was floated to get Amaro moving on Drabek.

Could very well be.

If other teams don't step up, it hurts Toronto's leverage, obviously.

So if there isnt real interest, create fake interest.

So... the Mets were offered Halladay in exchange for those players... and they rejected it? I don't know if I believe this.

Would Halladay accept a deal anyway to go to the mets right now? There chances, as matters stand right now, aren't significantly better than the Blue Jays' chances.

Wilpon allegedly lost 700M via Madoff, so who knows

Bobby Parnell is the goods.

Halladay's best years are behind him.

Why would that slop be enough for Halladay and yet Taylor/Carrasco/Donald wouldn't be?
