Monty kills the Halladay hard on

lacava was in lakewood for a week. i'd have to assume they really like someone there, likely one or more of d'arnaud/knapp/gose. there will be at least one blueclaw in the deal.

If the Phillies were willing to surrender Drabek, they "might get Halladay real quick" according to "one baseball executive" says Missanelli. He made it sound like he was quoting Heyman, but he didn't really specify WHOM he was quoting.

I don't know if that's true, but if it is, GET IT DONE. I WANT HALLADAY STARTING SATURDAY!!!!!!

Realistically the best option would be to have Jolovitz host 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on both 950 and 610. Everything/everyone else is pathetic.

Wholeheartedly agreed. He's one of the few radio hosts in town who actually knows and likes sports.

"If they were to give up Drabek, that would get it done" and "has not heard J.A. Happ's name" involved thus far.

Wouldn't it be something if in the future, the best arm in our current system turns out to be Joe Savery, who is not even being discussed.

Doesn't sound like they are coming back to Halladay; basically, there is nothing new to report.

Heyman does say he doesn't think Happ & Drabek in a deal is likely: one or the other, not both. But that sounds more like his personal opinion than anything he actually knows or has heard.
