they should put it right outside of Harry the K's in left center field. anywhere else is wrong.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

And designate it a smoking area.

I read somewhere that the cost of the statue is $80K. Is that a good, fair, or market price? The skeptic in me is saying that the sculptor set this all up saying "hey, I'll get people to chip in to pay me alot of $ to build a statue, and find somewhere prominent to place it to boot!".

Haddonfield's dinosaur statue cost $100,000. But it's not very big, for a dinosaur.

the good old Hadrosaurus, an underrated dinosaur in my opinion.

I'm pretty sure that statue has some kind of flowing water system in it.

It does have a little fountain that may have been included in the price. I suppose installing a flowing water system in Harry's statue would be in bad taste.

Poor taste EEM. I cannot believe it's been three years already. We miss you Harry.

Harry died about six weeks after my father, whose birthday would be one week from today. The two events obviously don't have the same importance to me but it's still a nasty double punch. Only relief at the time was that I knew my Dad would have been upset at Harry's passing so I was glad he missed that.

Remember the day well. I was working out at a gym in Leavenworth (in the town, not any of the prisons) and ESPN had breaking news that Harry had been taken to the hospital.

By the time I ended the workout, he was declared dead.

Yet another reason why I despise the state of Kansas.

I was actually getting ready for that game, just watching pre-game coverage and other TV when PSUSarge called me and told me what was happening. I had just closed my laptop to do some work before the game. Needless to say I didn't finish anything else the rest of that day.

Started the day early in Harrisburg Airport, flying to Vegas for a friend's wedding. We got to the hotel, and by that point it was well known that Harry had died. My wife and I spent the next 3 hours in the hotel room looking for coverage online, and everything made me cry.

To this day I can feel tears welling up simply at the sound of Harry's voice. It really was a huge loss, and I never thought I'd be as emotional as I was about it. I think many might feel the same- he really defined the Phillies for many of us. The team sucked for years, but Harry was always championship material.
Together we will win this game against the evil Space Yankees! Eat Fresh!
