btw your favorite and mine from manahawkin, nj - defending champion martin truex jr - did the 3 for 3 last week at Fontana winning both stages and the win. he'll be on the pole tomorrow with top practice time as the qualifying was weathered out too.
Hope Truex uses the same strategy at Talladega (note: I've attended the last three races there and plan to attend in October), because he always seems to have a pretty fast car at the plate tracks and gets caught up in shit. Just drop back for the first 80% of the race and then charge through the field.
highlight of race was when guy wrecked, his tire came off and was behind him, somehow came up, rolled over his car, and rolled down the track for like a full minute -- ended up stopping standing up without falling over
