This is not a knock on Morey coming here, but Elton seems like he'll be one of the best GM's in the league over the next 5-10 years. There's a changing of the guard happening. Though I don't know how that timeline fits in with the Sixers since he's sitting atop a ticking time bomb.

He seems new school, well connected, and I'm impressed by his speaking intelligence. Maybe those traits are blinding me, but I'm not so down on the mixed bag of results thus far, considering the parameters in play. This is only the beginning of his front office career, and it feels like the training wheels can come off now.
The bolded part is quite boast-y, but the Sixers are in a prime spot to win a title, which elevates him right away. I just don't see him flaming out in the long run
