I don't know anything about these guys but the fact that it's coming out on a Friday afternoon and Pompey writing his paint by numbers piece about them with no one else having much to say makes me think they're not that highly thought of.

The Sixers have hired Peter Dinwiddie as their Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations. That title was previously held by Alex Rucker.

The team has also hired former Orlando Director of College Scouting Prosper Karangwa as their new VP, Player Personnel.

Alex Rucker is being reassigned within the organization (title/role TBD), while Ned Cohen will continue in his role as assistant general manager.

the nba all star game is quite an experience.

overall:

nfl draft - feasible, huge hit here last time
super bowl - could make it happen, probably one of the harder ones to pull off
nba all star game - feasible, last occurred in 02
nhl all star game - feasible, last occurred in 92
nhl draft - pleading ignorance here
mlb all star game - already announced for philly

It just seems like such an oddly specific thing to want to do that everyone will probably go along with it. Maybe not the super bowl but I don’t know if the city has the logistics to pull off the Super Bowl and two all star games in like a month (though who knows what the nba schedule looks like then).

The lesson here is that I should probably start putting money aside now for the comical amount of cash I'm going to spend in 2026 on sporting events.
