This was part of NBC Sports Philadelphia's previously announced move away from sideline reporters for some reason. Gregg Murphy and Taryn Hatcher were in the same situation, though I think it's expected Hatcher's sticking around in another capacity.

Probably just NBC streaming the RSNs. Guessing it’s not just happening in philly.

I lost my best friend this morning!! Knowing my background, Dogs in the house was always unheard of and impossible but having you taught me something different about this world we live in. You made everyone smile at all times. You were so full of energy, you wanted to play every second and I was jealous of that energy wishing I had that for basketball. You hair was so beautiful. You were so beautiful. Now who’s gonna wake me up? who’s gonna lick me nonstop if I’m crying? Who’s gonna follow me everywhere ? Who’s gonna start acting crazy and run all over the place if they don’t get attention? I Know how much your mom will miss you buddy. He would always get in the middle if she was kissing me. This is so hurtful

That he wishes he had the energy of a three-year-old goldendoodle who is now dead? Sure, it's startling if you're an insane person.
